The Thompson Valley Rock Club is urgently seeking a new workshop location following the loss of its long‑standing donated space at the BC Wildlife Park.
For the last 18 years, the workshop has been the heart of the club’s educational programs, lapidary training, community events, and hands-on learning for rockhounds of all ages. With the closure of the current space, the club is appealing to the community, local businesses, and property owners for assistance in securing a new home.
To continue offering lapidary services and safely operate equipment, the club is seeking long term lease or contract at a location that includes:
Plumbing access for saw cooling and equipment cleaning
Electrical service capable of supporting multiple machines (110V)
Space for saws, grinders, polishers, and other lapidary tools
A secure indoor area suitable for ongoing club activities and training
If you have a space to offer, rent, or donate, or know of a suitable location, the club would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

The TVRC extends its gratitude to the BC Wildlife Park for its many years of partnership and looks forward to finding a new home where members can continue sharing their passion for geology, minerals, and lapidary arts with the Kamloops community.
